Privacy Policy
We process personal data in a careful and lawful manner, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the privacy rules arising from it.
Which personal data is processed and why?
We process only the personal data that is strictly essential for a particular purpose. These data may include: name, address, e-mail address, company data, gender, date of birth, account number, and curriculum vitae.
We will only process personal data if:
- you give us your consent;
- we must fulfill a legal obligation;
- we must protect your vital interests;
- we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
If you withdraw your consent, we will no longer process any of your personal data, unless we are legally obliged to do so.
We collect personal data so that:
- we can communicate with you
- we can perform our role as an employer
- we can perform well-defined academic research
- we can meet financial or legal obligations
Securing personal data
We secure all personal data to prevent misuse or unauthorized access, and retain it only as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Personal data in documents that come under the 1995 Public Records Act shall be stored as stipulated by this Act.
When archiving data for public interest, for scientific or historical research, or for statistical purposes, personal data may be stored for a longer period. If so, will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your rights, in accordance with the GDPR.
Disclosure to third parties
We will only disclose your personal data to third parties if we have a legal obligation or basis to do so (as referred to in Section 6 of the GDPR). We will safeguard your rights to privacy in a processing agreement , stipulating how your personal data must be dealt with.
Exercising your privacy rights
You can submit a request to the EIBR to exercise the rights to access, modify, erase, or restrict the processing of your personal data, including profiling. These rights may be restricted if your personal data are processed in the public interest, for scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes.
Personal data authority
If you have a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data, we will do our best to address if. If you are not satisfied, you may submit a complaint to the Personal Data Authority.
Changes to this privacy statement
We will publish any changes to this privacy statement on our website. These changes will never be in violation of the GDPR and the privacy rules arising from it.
