Our mobile laboratory
We greatly value the wishes of our brain donors. We understand that they want their generous donation to pave the way for groundbreaking research. To fulfill their desires, we need to preserve their brains as best as possible, and as soon as possible. For this purpose, we have developed a mobile laboratory that can be placed close to the place of death.

Our mobile laboratory is a high-tech vehicle that we use for both preservation and transport. The vehicle has a table for the donor body, which can be moved up, down, and sideways on a hydraulic stretcher with wheels, to easily grant access to the patient for the procedure. Multiple cameras allow us to document the procedures for future analysis and training. If desired, a live audio/video stream permits remote participation of team members. Once the brain is preserved, it can be stored in our regular laboratory. This is also where we prepare brain samples for microscopy.
